Elder Emerson Parker, Jr., age 86, of Council, NC, peacefully slipped away into the land of the free on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by love.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor, Emerson will be remembered for his quiet strength, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His life was a testament to kindness, faith, and humility, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Elder, Millicent E. Parker; his children, Cliff, LaDonna, and Jennifer; grandchildren, Letitia, Dominic, Israel, Jessica, Isiah, Justin, and Danielle; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Isiah Jr., and Princeton. His legacy of love and family will live on through each of them.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, also at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of standing sprays, the family kindly requests potted plants or garden dishes, which may be cherished and nurtured in Emerson's memory.
