Mr. William D. Highsmith , age 89, of Willard, peacefully transcended from time into eternity on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 while at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center located in Wilmington, NC with his loving family by his side.

A Homegoing Celebration will convene at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Roseville Missionary Baptist Church located on Highway 421 in Willard, North Carolina. Interment with Military Honors will immediately follow in the Newton Family Cemetery located on Highway 421 in Willard, NC.

Viewing and Visitation for family and friends will be held during the hours of 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
