Mr. Wilbert Hayes , age 85, of Atkinson, at the summons of Almighty God traded mortal for immortality on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 while in the comfort of his residence. He is the husband of Mrs. Mettie Mae Hayes.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will immediately follow in the Lakes Chapel Cemetery located in Atkinson, NC.

Viewing for family and friends will take place 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
