Thelma Denise Miller Bland, age 84, of Burgaw, North Carolina, formerly of Colquitt, Georgia, peacefully transitioned on July 27, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. A devoted wife to Harry Bland and loving mother to Diana Bland, Cheryl Bland, Renee Mobley, and John Bland, she leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, grace, and enduring love. Surrounded by a host of cherished family and friends, Thelma's life was one marked by humility and dedication to the simple joys that brought her peace. Her deep passion for reading, sewing, and fishing will always be admired and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Thelma will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Middle District Missionary Baptist Association, located at 1821 NC-53, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Family and friends are invited to attend a public visitation on the evening of Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Her final resting place will be in Colquitt, Georgia, with burial to follow at a later date.
