Teresa Ann Ennis, born on February 19, 1964, in the serene embrace of Pender County, North Carolina, departed this world on January 1, 2025, leaving behind a tapestry woven with love, care, and the joy she spread to all who had the privilege to know her. Her journey through life was marked by a beautiful blend of spirit, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to family.
Teresa’s heart was as expansive as the open road she loved to travel. With a vibrant passion for exploration, she cherished each journey, collecting memories like precious gems along the way. Her zest for life was mirrored in her love for shopping, where each item found was a reflection of her lively personality and thoughtfulness towards those in her orbit. She had a natural gift for sewing, a craft she embraced whenever time allowed, pouring her creativity into every stitch, turning fabric into cherished family keepsakes.
Teresa was not only a wife, mother, and grandmother; she was the heartbeat of her family. Her proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She devoted herself to nurturing their lives, always eager to lend an ear, share a laugh, or offer guidance. A woman of strength, she constantly looked out for the needs of others, often placing them before her own. Her forthright nature made her a beloved figure, as she spoke her mind with honesty and grace, never hesitating to share her thoughts while inspiring those around her to embrace their own voices.
Her passing leaves a poignant absence among her husband, children, grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who knew her love and kindness, and felt the warmth of her embrace. Those who gather to honor her life will reflect not only on her achievements but also on the indelible mark she left on their hearts.
A Viewing will take place on January 6, 2026, from 12 PM to 1 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1 PM to 2 PM at St. Mary United Holy Church, located at 8730 Point Caswell Road in Atkinson, NC. As her family respectfully requests purple and white flower arrangements, it is an additional tribute embodying Teresa’s vibrant spirit and the beauty she brought into the lives of those who loved her.
In this quiet time of remembering, we hold close the laughter and joy she brought into our days, cherishing the beautiful legacy of Teresa Ann Ennis, a remarkable soul who may have left this world but whose essence will forever remain in our hearts.
