Ms. Sophia Beneke Nixon , age 45, of Hampstead peacefully laid down the burdens of this life and traded mortal for immortality on Thursday, November 18, 2021 while at Duke University Hospital located in Durham, NC.

A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Woodside Community Cemetery on Union Bethel Road in Hampstead, North Carolina. Interment will immediately follow.

Public Viewing for relatives and friends will take place 11:00a.m. - 12:30p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Union Bethel A.M.E. Church - 11 Union Bethel Road Hampstead, NC 28443 prior to the 1:00p.m. Graveside Celebration of Life Service.
