Sherry was the beloved wife of Elwood Lee, a nurturing mother to her three sons, Demos, Raphel, and Elwood Ej, and she cherished her role as a grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Her family meant everything to her, and her legacy will be carried on through those she loved most.

A true culinary artist, Sherry was often called upon to make her famous potato salad at family gatherings and community events. It was a dish made not just with ingredients, but with love, perfectly capturing her nurturing spirit. Her presence at these events created bonds that brought relatives and friends together, showcasing her gift for fostering connection.

A visitation will be held at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Burgaw, NC, on December 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at First Missionary Baptist Church in Chinquapin, NC, on December 20, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, with interment rites following at Pickett Family Cemetery.
