It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Ann Pridgen King, age 76, formerly of the Moore Swamp Community Ivanhoe, North Carolina. She gained her wings to be reunited with her beloved husband at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Ruth leaves behind a loving legacy in her four children: Tanya Fermin-Jones, Richard Allen King, Jr., Randolph King, and Rosalind Crawford, along with a host of cherished family members and dear friends.

A joint Celebration of Life for Ruth and her late husband, Richard, will take place 1:00pm Friday, February 7, 2025, at The Middle District Missionary Baptist Association, located at 1821 NC Highway 53, Burgaw, NC 28425.

A public visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 12:50 PM.

Interment will follow in the Moore Swamp A.M.E. Church Cemetery

Ruth Ann King's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in peace, surrounded by eternal love and grace.
