Obituary
Mr. Roosevelt George, III, affectionately known as "Lil' Main" to his family and "Rose" to his friends, began his journey with the Lord on June 11, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Roosevelt was born on August 7, 1986 in Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas to Roosevelt and Alice George. He was a 2004 graduate of New Hanover High School. He was a Personal Care Assistant and Community Skills Trainer at United Cerebral Palsy in Wilmington, NC until his tragic accident on Feb. 9, 2008. He was left paralyzed from the chest down but with determination, hard work, and perseverance he was able to learn how to live independently while raising his son.

The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Shoulders Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Shoulders Branch Church Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
