Mr. Richard Theron Dereef, age 67 of Wilmington, NC peacefully transitioned into eternal sleep on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center Wilmington, North Carolina surrounded by his loving family.

Homegoing celebration will be held 12:00noon Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held prior to the homegoing celebration on Thursday, June 12, 2025 during the hour of 11:00am to 11:50am at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, Burgaw, NC and immediately after the service.

Theron was very skilled with his hands and had a generous spirit. He built a life full of love, laughter and meaningful connections. His craftmanship and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
