Reverend Elisha Sharpless , age 82, of Maple Hill peacefully laid down the burdens of this world and received his crown and long white robe he so often preached about on Monday, January 4, 2021 while at the Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

A Triumphant Homegoing Celebration in honor of his life will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will immediately follow in the Coy Lee Cemetery located in Maple Hill, NC.

A Walk Through Only Viewing will be 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.  Due to the times in which we currently live we are asking that there be no sitting, lingering or gathering .

Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings. For our safety and yours no more than 50 people will be allowed inside our facility at all times. We will be expecting EVERYONE entering our facility to comply with the order, Wear a Face Covering and practice social distancing.
