Reverend John Marion Franklin, Jr. , age 78, of Ivanhoe, N.C., peacefully laid down the burdens of this world and received his crown and long white robe he so often preached about on Friday, November 24, 2023 while in the comfort of his residence. Rev. Franklin is the husband of Mrs. Marguerite "Maggie" Bass Franklin.

A native of Toledo, Ohio and long time resident of California; Rev. Franklin and his wife relocated to Ivanhoe in 2014.

The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church - 581 Trestle Road Ivanhoe, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Ironmine Cemetery located in Wallace, NC.

The Visitation/Viewing for relatives and friends will take place 12:00 Noon - 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church - 581 Trestle Road Ivanhoe, NC prior to the 12:30 p.m. Celebration of Life Service.
