Dr. Reta M. Shiver, 78, of Rocky Point transcended on June 24, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Wilmington.

Dr. Shiver is survived by her daughter, Dr. Sheba L. Shiver and grandson, Strafield T. Cromartie both of Rocky Point. She was the Director of Pender County Department of Social Services for more than Thirty years.

A visitation with family and friends will be held 5:00 to 7:00pm Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Mt. Moriah AME Church, highway 210, Rocky Point.

Celebration of Life Service will convene at 2:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Mt. Moriah AME Church, Rocky Point.
