Reginal “Reggie” Crews, born August 4, 1959, in Pender County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in Wallace, North Carolina. His passing is mourned by family and friends who remember him as a man with a heart of gold and steadfast love for those around him.

Reginal built a meaningful life rooted in dedication and compassion. As an over-the-road truck driver, he devoted his professional years to the transportation industry, earning a reputation for reliability, responsibility, and perseverance. He took immense pride in his work and approached every mile with commitment and determination.

One of the defining stories of Reginal’s life was a love reunited. After years apart, he reconnected with his teenage sweetheart through Facebook upon returning to North Carolina. Their enduring bond blossomed into marriage on August 20, 2016, beginning a cherished new chapter together. His beloved wife, Jacquelyne Simpkins-Crews, survives him and stands as a testament to the resilience, faith, and enduring love they shared.

Beyond his work and marriage, Reginal found joy in music. He had a deep appreciation for all kinds of music and especially loved playing the guitar. Whether strumming familiar tunes or simply enjoying his favorite songs, music brought him peace and was one of the many ways he connected with others. His love for music reflected his warm spirit and added another beautiful dimension to the life he lived.

Reginal’s devotion extended beyond his immediate family. He cared deeply for those he loved, making it a priority to check in on family and friends regularly. His warmth, generosity, and supportive nature created lasting bonds and enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Felicia Cochran, and his four blended daughters, who will forever cherish his unwavering support, guidance, and love. Also mourning his loss are his sister, Deborah (Victor) Parrish of Florida, and his aunt, Delores Hornage, with whom he shared a special and meaningful bond, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Reginal’s legacy is defined not only by his years of dedicated work but by the kindness, compassion, and unconditional love he shared so freely.
