Reginal “Reggie” Crews, born August 4, 1959, in Pender County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in Wallace, NC. His passing is mourned by family and friends who remember him as a man with a heart of gold and steadfast love for those around him.
Reginal built a meaningful life rooted in dedication and compassion. As an over-the-road truck driver, he committed his professional years to the transportation industry, exemplifying reliability and responsibility. He took immense pride in his work, shaping a reputation marked by diligence and perseverance.
One of the defining stories of Reginal’s journey is reunited love. After years apart, he reconnected with his teenage sweetheart through Facebook upon returning to North Carolina. Their enduring bond led to marriage on August 20, 2016, beginning a new and cherished chapter in his life. His beloved wife, Jacquelyne Simpkins-Crews, survives him, offering testimony to the resilience and depth of their relationship.
Reginal’s devotion extended beyond his immediate family. He cared deeply for his loved ones, making it a priority to check in on them regularly. His warmth and supportive nature created a strong circle of connection, enriching the lives of all who knew him. His daughter, Felicia Cochran and four stepdaughters who will remember his unwavering support and guidance. Also mourning his loss his aunt, Delores Hornage, with whom he shared a meaningful familial bond.
Reginal’s legacy is defined not only by his work but by the impact he had on those around him a legacy of compassion, devotion, and unfailing kindness. His consistent outreach to family will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation with family will be held on July 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425. Funeral services will follow on July 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will take place at the Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachy, NC.
