Obituary

Mr. Raynard A. Kea, of the Canetuck Community in Currie, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Etta Maria Kea and Ebony Kea; grandchildren, Chasity Kea, Teiona Canady, Darius Autry, Elijah Autry, and Kiara Autry; great-grandchild, Akiro Hutchinson; siblings, Gloria Kea, Myrtis Kea Manigo, Charles Kea, Frederick Kea, and Michael Odell Kea and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

The family will be receiving guests at the home of his brother, Charles Kea, located at 3483 Tuckahoe Road, Ivanhoe, North Carolina 28447, beginning Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church, 5922 Canetuck Road, Currie, NC 28435. Interment will follow in the Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A viewing for relatives and friends will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC 28425.
