Mrs. Rachell Smith Pearsall, of Burgaw, was called home to eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2013 at home.
Mrs. Pearsall was born on August 23, 1918 in Pender County to the late James W. Smith and Arbella Peterson Smith. She attended the Burgaw Colored School later named C.F. Pope High School and now, Burgaw Elementary School.
Mrs. Pearsall began her Christian walk at an early age at Hall's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.

A viewing for relatives and friends will be 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Halls Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Burgaw. Burial will be in the Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey.
