Mr. Perry Lee Beatty, age 66 of the Moore's Swamp Community, completed  his final burn out on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center Wilmington, NC with his loving family at his side.

Perry is survived by his wife, Carolyn Beatty; children, LaTonya Floyd, Tawanna Wiggins, Dreama Beatty and Coretta Beatty; siblings, Glenn Hayes, Claudie Beatty and Jonathan Beatty and a host of grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was a lifelong grudge racing enthusiast and a true competitor on and off the track. He lived a life full of speed, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of passion and determination.

Celebration of Perry's life will take place 1:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church 581 Trestle Road, Ivanhoe, NC 28447.

Interment will follow at Moore Swamp A.M.E. Church Cemetery 1327 Barnhill Blueberry Lane, Ivanhoe, NC 28447.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

His race may be over, but his spirit will forever keep turning laps in all hearts who knew him.
