Early Sunday morning, March 31, 2013, God permitted Norwood Herman Lacewell's light to go out.

Mr. Lacewell was born on November 13, 1950 in New Hanover County to the late Annie Bell Lacewell and Herman Everett. He was educated in the New Hanover County Schools. He joined the US Army at the age of eightenn, and served in the Vietnam War. After serving for twenty-two years in the military, he was employed with Southern State Chemical Pant, Wilmington, NC. He was a member of Williams Love Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

The funeral will be noon Wednesday, April 3, at Williams Love Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hampstead. Burial will be at Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
