Mr. Milton Holmes
, age 76, of Columbia, SC, went to his eternal rest on September 5, 2022 while in Columbia, SC. He is the son of the late Charlie Holmes, Sr. and Wilheminia Lamb Holmes,
A Wake in South Carolina will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Temples Halloran Funeral Home - 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
A Public Viewing in North Carolina will convene Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:00a.m. - 10:50a.m. and after the 11:00a.m. Homegoing Service being held at Hall's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church - Hwy. 117 N. Burgaw, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Burgaw Cemetery, Burgaw, NC.
A Homegoing Service will take place in North Carolina on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at Hall's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church - Hwy. 117 N. Burgaw, NC.
Mr. Milton Holmes moved to New York in the 1960s and served for 20 years with the NYPD (Brooklyn) as a plain-clothes detective in the Anticrime and Homicide Unit. He moved to South Carolina after retirement to be with his children and grandchildren.
