Mrs. Mary Lee Mott Murphy, 85 of the West Pender Community, Burgaw, peacefully answered the Masters call and entered the land of eternal rest on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center, Wilmington.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Andrew James Murphy; daughter, Valdine Murphy; grandson, Malik Hinton; siblings, Josephine Alexander, Dorothy "Mrs. Dot" Robinson; Ernell Mott and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Homegoing celebration will take place at 11:00am Saturday, June 7, 2025 at  Hawes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 7720 Slocum Trail, Atkinson, NC 28421.

Interment will follow in the Mott Family Cemetery, Mott Town Road Atkinson, NC.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

Mary dedicated her life to caring for others. With steady hands and a compassionate heart, she brought comfort, dignity and love to those in need. Her warmth and selflessness touched countless lives, and her legacy will never be forgotten.
