Mary Peterson Harrell, age 78, of Kelly, North Carolina, answered the Master's call and entered the land of the free on Monday, August 11, 2025.  A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished friend, Mary lived a life of faith, grace, and compassion.

Those left to cherish her memories are her devoted son, Cleavon Harrell(Gihan); grandchildren, Cleavon Harrell, Jr., Micahya Noble and Jordan Noble; siblings, Roseann Peterson, Thelma Thomas, Rebecca Bellamy(James); Vernell Robinson(Joel Douglas) and a myriad of family and friends.

Her gentle spirit and unwavering love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Homegoing celebration will be held 2:00pm Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 1320 Natmore Road, Kelly, NC 28448.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Kelly, NC.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held Saturday  August 16, 2025, during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Dunn Funeral Home 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.
