Mother Lucille Barden Pickett, age 85, of Pickett Bay Road Chinquapin, North Carolina, answered the Master's call and entered her heavenly home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 9:44 a.m.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted sons, Joe Lawrence Pickett, Toussaint Pickett, and Kyle Lorenz Pickett; along with a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 14, 2025, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 3882 South NC Highway 50, Chinquapin, North Carolina. Interment will follow in St. Lewis Cemetery, Chinquapin, NC.

Viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at First Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pickett was a loving and nurturing mother—not only to her own children but to many others whose lives she touched. She found great joy in worshipping the Lord and sharing her faith through kindness and compassion. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love will be remembered forever.
