It is with great respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Louise Stringfield, who peacefully transitioned at her home in Kelly, North Carolina, on Monday, June 15, 2026. Born on November 22, 1945, Louise was a cherished member of her family and community, remembered fondly for her loving spirit and dedication to those she cared for.
Louise was the cornerstone of the Stringfield family, embodying a spirit of peace and unity that brought her loved ones closer together. She was known for her selflessness and nurturing nature, always ensuring that others were cared for, often placing their needs before her own. Her nieces and nephews were especially dear to her, and she embraced them with the warmth and devotion of a mother.
She is survived by her devoted siblings: sisters Earnestine Newkirk (O’Neil), Pricilla Stringfield, Saundra Stringfield, and Deborah Henry; and brothers Richard Stringfield Jr., Reverend Carnell Stringfield Sr. (Jackie), Daniel Stringfield, and Lonza Stringfield. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved aunt, Marie Henry, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
A homegoing celebration in honor of Louise’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, located at 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, North Carolina 28425. Following the service, interment will take place at Salt Marsh Cemetery on Natmore Road in Kelly, North Carolina. Family, friends, and all who knew Louise are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel.
Louise Stringfield’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and an enduring commitment to family. She leaves behind a treasured memory of peace and kindness, inspiring all who knew her to live with love and generosity. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by every life she touched.
