Minister Lora Dee Tart Eason, 47, of Burgaw, formerly of Cerro Gordo, humbly submitted to the call of our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

Minister Eason was born on June 24, 1965 to Alonzo "L.Z." Tart and Doris Lee Todd Tart in Cerro Gordo, NC.

At an early age, she joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Second St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Hallsboro. In 2007, she answered her call to preach the Gospel. She was a woman who could teach and preach His Word.

She is a graduate of West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, NC, UNC-Wilmington, and most recently a Masters graduate in Business Administration from Strayer University. She was currently employed with Verizon Wireless.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Viewing will be 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Dunn Funeral Home. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Missionary Baptist Headquarters, Whiteville. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery, Chadbourn.
