Obituary for Mr. Linwood Williams, Sr.
1937 – 2025

Mr. Linwood Williams, Sr., 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and formerly of Farmville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Charlotte. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Linwood was the beloved husband of Barbara Williams and the proud father of six children: James Williams, Linwood Williams, Jr., Robert Williams, Tara Williams, Tamara Williams, and Daryl Williams. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends who will forever remember his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support.

A Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, located at 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425.

A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will take place on 1:30 P.M. Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the same location at Following the service, Mr. Williams will be laid to rest at Burgaw Cemetery in Burgaw, North Carolina.
