Mrs. Lillian Pearl Eakins Newkirk , affectionally known as "Liz", age 62, of Currie,  at the command of the Master peacefully departed this life and received her rest on Sunday, December 26, 2021 while at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center located in Bolivia, NC. She is the wife of Mr. William Newkirk.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at New Pike Creek A.M.E. Church - 7178 Stag Park Rd, Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will immediately follow in the Gurganious Cemetery.

Public Viewing for family and friends will be held 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
