Mother Lila Jane New Malloy , age 100, of Hampstead, graciously completed the final sentence in her life's sketch and started a new chapter among the Heavenly Host on Saturday, January 13, 2024 while in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Mother Malloy lived to see five generations within her family tree. She is survived by four children, Charles Malloy, Marsha Sharpless, Leon Malloy, and Cynthia Fullwood; two daughter-in-law, Grace Malloy (Charles) and Sandra Malloy (Edward); one sister, Francis Carey; one sister-in-law, Jeri Simpson (Cleve); and one brother-in-law, Andrew Malloy (Debra).

A Homegoing Celebration Honoring A Life Well Lived will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Manhollow Missionary Baptist Church - 55 Manhollow Church Road Hampstead, NC 28443. Interment will immediately follow in the Malloy Family Cemetery located in Rocky Point, North Carolina.

Public Visitation and Viewing for relatives and friends will be held 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
