Mrs. Leona Bannerman Pridgen, age 73 of the Calico Bay Community, Burgaw, NC peacefully transitioned into a world of eternal peace and rest on Thursday, May, 1, 2025 at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. Her journey on this earth was marked by grace, strength and a heart full of love.

Mrs. Pridgen is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Pridgen; daughter, Yvette Bryant; grandchildren, Maleat Saulsberry, Diamond Williams and Jayden "Spud" Pridgen; Great-grand child, Major Kornegay; Sister, Maxine Bannerman and a myriad of  family and friends who will cherish her memory forever.

A celebration of Leona's life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, May 10, 2025 at New Pike Creek A.M.E. Church Stag Park Road Burgaw, NC.

Interment will follow in the Burgaw Cemetery.

Viewing for relatives and friends will take place during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC .

In lieu of standing sprays, if a flower is purchased the family kindly request potted plants or any floral arrangements than can be taken home and nurtured in memory of Mrs. Pridgen.
