Lee Helen's legacy of compassion and care touched many lives.

Lee Helen McKoy age 80 of the Lagoon Community Kelly, NC peacefully transitioned to the land of the free on Saturday, June 27, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Lee Helen was a loving and caring woman whose life was a testament to faith and family. She cherished attending church and worshiping the Lord. Her passion for sewing, sweet potatoes, shopping, and her beloved FBI shows brought her joy, along with her love for the outdoors and flowers. Lee Helen's legacy of compassion and care touched many lives.

She is survived by her children, Tyrone Lee McKoy (Vickie) and Pamela Yvette Jimmerson; grandchildren, Jessica Ward (AJ), Jamel Jimmerson, Anika Jimmerson, Tyrone Antwan Thurman, and Hannah Corbett. Her siblings, A. Machelle McCracken (Courtney), Mavis Harvey (James), Agnes Mumford, Lorenzo McKoy (Priscilla), Bennie McKoy (Pam), and Waymond Lee McKoy (Valeria), join a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunt, Valarie McKoy and her dear friend, Mary Witchett, in mourning her loss.

A homegoing service will take place at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Zion Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Kelly, NC, with interment following at the Lagoon Community Cemetery. 

Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM before the service on Sunday and at the conclusion of the service. 

The family will receive guests at the home of her sister, Machelle McCracken. 

In honor of Lee Helen, the family ask that if a flower is purchased let it be shades of pink and white.
