Mr. Kerrie L. Newkirk affectionately called "Moon" passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at U.N.C. Hospital Chapel Hill. He is the father of Devon Veronesi; Son of Mrs. Katie Newkirk; Brother of Ava Edison, Everett Newkirk, Desi Newkirk, Faith Jenean Newkirk and Errol Newkirk.

Funeral service will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Dunn Funeral  Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will follow in the Roseville Church Cemetery, Willard.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held 5:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Dunn Funeral Home 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.
