It is with deep respect and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Keith Anthony Herbert, who departed this life on August 10, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice of Wilmington, NC, at the age of 72.

Keith Anthony Herbert was born on August 30, 1953, in Trinidad and Tobago, where his early years were shaped by the warmth and vibrant culture of his homeland. Throughout his life, Keith carried with him the values and strength instilled in him during his formative years.

Keith built a life marked by dedication, kindness, and steadfastness. Those who knew Keith will remember him as a loving husband to his devoted wife, Cynthia Herbert, who survives him. Keith was also a cherished father, survived by his two sons, each of whom carries forward his legacy of integrity and love.

Keith’s family extends well beyond his immediate circle. He is survived by a host of relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support. To all who knew him, as family, friend, or neighbor, Keith was a source of strength, gentle humor, and comforting presence.

In honor of Keith’s life, family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects at Union Bethel A.M.E., located at 20676 U.S. 17, Hampstead, NC 28443. Visitation will be held on August 26, 2026, from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. Keith will be laid to rest in a peaceful inurnment at Sea Lawn Memorial Park, 17750 U.S. 17, Hampstead, NC 28443.

Keith Anthony Herbert leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and resilience. Though he is no longer with us, the impact of his presence will endure in the hearts of all who loved him. His memory will be cherished today and always.
