Mrs. Joyce Gore Lee-Lewis, 96, of Maple Hill, calmly answered the Master's call on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Lewis was born on December 18, 1916 in Pender County to the late Alexander and Rosella Holmes Gore. She received her education in the Pender County School System. Mrs. Lewis was a long standing member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Maple Hill. She was an anointed praying woman of God who served as a Spiritual Advisor, Chairperson for the Deaconess Ministry, Church secretary, Daughters of Zion member, Senior Choir member, Missionary Circle member, and Mother Ministry member.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Dunn Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Maple Hill. Burial will be in the St. John Church Cemetery.
