Mrs. Joyce Alean Graham DeShields , age 89, of Wilmington, received her rest and joined Heaven's Garden on Monday, January 17, 2022 in the comfort of her residence with her loving family at her side.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church located in Currie, North Carolina. Interment will immediately follow in the Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located in Currie, North Carolina.

Viewing and Visitation for family and friends will take place 12:00 Noon - 12:50p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church located in Currie, North Carolina prior to the 1:00p.m. Homegoing Celebration.

We appreciate all of the phone calls and cards sent to our mother from Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Members. Mom frequently attended EMBC under Watch care with our Dad who was a member. She enjoyed fellowshipping during Bible Study
before she became too ill to attend.

We wish to give sincere thanks to the employees of Liberty Homecare & Hospice Services Wilmington NC for the compassion and love that they showed to our Mother during her illness. A special thank you to our mothers part-time caregiver Michelle
James; her Niece Janine Shephard and long time family friend Arthur LeBoo.
