Joseph was the devoted husband to the late Glenda Faye Lee, a bond that remained a foundation of strength throughout his life. He was a proud and loving father to Tony Lee and Andrea Lee Benton her husband Derrick Benton Sr,, who carry forward his legacy of compassion and resilience. His role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable joy, with beloved grandchildren Tai'Keya Lee, Bre'Ana Benton, and Derrick Benton Jr. enriching his days with their presence. The precious light of great-grandchildren—DMoni Lee, DLayah Fowler, DMayah Fowler and Carter Lee—added to the continuing circle of love he so deeply treasured.
He is also remembered by his sister Hannah Gaither and a wide circle of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by Joseph’s unfailing kindness and generous heart.
