On June 25, 2024, the Sunset for John Garfield Wooten, He departed life peacefully at home.

John was the son of the late John Wooten Jr and Mary Ruth Wooten. Garfield as he was affectionally known attended school Pender County school district. He later received his high school diploma through Job corps. He went on to serve in United States Army. After his service to the country, he resided overseas for many years until his return to the states. He was then employed at Tyson Foods, until he found his passion semi-trucks. He was proceeded in death by his son Imarion N. Wooten and two sisters Kathleen Ruth Wooten and Kellie W. Vines.

Public Visitation will take place from 1:00pm -1:50pm prior to the service.

Home Going Celebration will take place July 1, 2024, at 2 pm at St John Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Webtown Road, Maple Hill, NC 28454.

Interment will take place immediately following the service at Isaac James Cemetery, Maple Hill, NC 28454
