Sgt. John J. Phoenix, 84, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Alamance Regional Medical Center, Burlington.

The funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Burlington.  Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery.  A visitation for relatives and friends will be 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Dunn Funeral Home, and 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Monday (half hour before the service), at First Baptist Church.
