John Henry Anderson Jr., born on October 19, 1961, in Quantico, Virginia, passed away on June 19, 2026, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. His life, rich in connection and compassion, is fondly remembered by all who knew him.

John cherished many simple and beautiful moments in life, especially those spent with his beloved wife, Sarah. Among his fondest memories were peaceful afternoons having picnics in the park with Mrs. Anderson, enveloped by good music and the pleasure of each other's company. These tender moments, along with his joy in savoring a cup of coffee prepared lovingly by his wife, highlight the depth of his appreciation for togetherness and the little joys that life can bring.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Sarah Anderson; his mother, Nidia Anderson; his brother, Robert Anderson; his dear aunt, Miss Sarah Mosses; and his cousin, Evelyn Anderson. Each mourns his passing while honoring the many ways John brightened their lives.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life and legacy, which will be held at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425, on June 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
