Sergeant Major Jimmy Lee King, Sr., 63, of Garner, formerly of Wallace, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at UNC Hospital.

Jimmy was born on March 24, 1949 in Duplin County to Nancy King-Water and the late Albert King. He served in the United States Army honorably for twenty-eight years.

The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Wallace-Rose Hill Fine Arts Center. Burial will be in the Duplin Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Raleigh.
