Mr. James Kenneth Newkirk , age 74, of Wilmington laid down the burdens of this life and received his rest on Sunday, March 27, 2022 while at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

A Graveside Homegoing Celebration will take place at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Watha Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Watha, NC. Interment will immediately follow.

Viewing and Family Visitation will be held 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
