James Galloway Lloyd, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Woodhaven Nursing Facility in Lumberton, North Carolina. Born on March 18, 1936, James lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

James was a cherished member of his family, who include his devoted sisters, Daisy High, Hazel Brown and Effie Lloyd. He leaves behind a legacy of love that extends through a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all cherish his memory.

A home going celebration to honor James's life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church, located at 5922 Canetuck Road, Currie, NC 28435. The interment will follow in the Canetuck M.B. Church Cemetery, where friends and family will gather to pay their final respects.

Before the home going service, there will be an opportunity for viewing from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM on January 9, allowing those who loved him to honor his life and the impact he had on so many.

James Galloway Lloyd will be remembered for the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
