Mr. Howard N. Walker, Jr. , age 85, of Burgaw, peacefully crossed Heaven's celestial shore on Thursday, September 8, 2022 while at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina. Mr. Walker is a retired Principal of the Pender County School System, husband of the late Edna S. Walker who preceded him January 2022, and father of three daughters, Pamela Gilchrist, Melba Melvin and Tara Walker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church - 300 N. Walker Street Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will immediately follow in the Selma Memorial Gardens, Selma, North Carolina.

Public Viewing will take place 10:00a.m. - 10:50a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church - 300 N. Walker Street Burgaw, NC 28425 prior to the 11:00a.m. Celebration of Life Service.
