Mr. Herman Fennell, age 82, of Burgaw, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

He was born on September 25, 1943, to the late Mrs. Ruth Fennell and the late Mr. Malachi Fennell. Mr. Fennell was the proud father of Brandice James and Jonathan Wise. He honorably served in the United States Army and later worked for many years as a commercial truck driver.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, also at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, located at 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, North Carolina 28425.

Interment will follow in the Artis Family Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are being received at the home of his sister, Mrs. Diane S. Artis and Rev. Ben Artis, on Pinewood Road in Watha, North Carolina.
