Henry James Colvin "Rabbit", 83, formerly of Atkinson, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Philadelphia, Pa.
He was born August 14, 1929 in Pender County to the late James Thomas and Louraina Mott Colvin.
After graduating from Pender County Training School, Rocky Point, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served four years. He leaves to cherish his memory:
Daughter: Maxine Colvin Lacewell, Burgaw, NC;
Two granddaughters: Tonya Lacewell Turner (Thurman), Burgaw, NC; Patricia Lacewell Jacobs, Durham, NC;
One brother: Leroy Colvin, Detroit, Michigan
The funeral will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home, Burgaw. Interment will follow in the Colvin Family Cemetery, Atkinson.
