Heather Hollingsworth Bolding

Heather Bolding, affectionately known as Chris, passed away on January 25, 2026, at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1970, in Pender County, North Carolina.

Heather dedicated her career to serving the State of North Carolina in the Human Services department, where she was known for her professionalism, integrity, and deep commitment to her work. A graduate of Fayetteville State University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work before obtaining her master’s degree in human services from Webster University. Her educational background laid a strong foundation for her career, shaping her compassionate approach to human relations and enriching her interactions with colleagues and the community.

Beyond her professional life, Heather was a vibrant and joyful individual who brought warmth to every space she entered. She had a true passion for cooking and baking, often preparing delicious meals to share with family and friends. She cherished her loved ones deeply and was known for her lively spirit and generous heart. A proud “daddy’s girl,” Heather shared a particularly close and special bond with her father, George C. Hollingsworth.

Heather also had a love for travel, always eager to explore new places and experiences. Whether through her adventures or around her kitchen table, she created lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.

She is survived by her son, Zachary Bolding; her father, George C.Hollingsworth; her sister, Delishia Dunning; and a host of other family members and friends who will forever remember her warmth, kindness, and the lasting impact she made on their lives.

Visitation will be held on February 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Roseville Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2870 Wilmington Highway, Willard, North Carolina 28478. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Heather will be laid to rest at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey, North Carolina.

Heather Bolding’s legacy of love, dedication, and vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
