Heather Bolding, affectionately known as Chris, passed away on January 25, 2026, at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1970, in Pender County, North Carolina. Heather dedicated her career to serving the state of North Carolina in the Human Resources department, where she was known for her professionalism and her deep commitment to her work.
A graduate of Fayetteville State University, Heather earned her bachelor's degree in social work before obtaining her master's in human resources from Webster University. Her educational background laid a strong foundation for her career, shaping her approach to human relations and enriching her interactions with colleagues and the community.
Heather was not only a dedicated professional, but she was also a vibrant individual who brought joy to those around her. She had a passion for cooking and baking, often creating delicious meals to share with loved ones. She cherished her family and friends dearly and was known to have a lively spirit that made her beloved by all who knew her. Her connection with her family was especially profound—being a daddy’s girl, she held a unique bond with her father, George Hollingsworth.
In addition to her family ties, Heather was an avid traveler, always seeking out new experiences and adventures. Her love for cooking extended to creating exquisite meals that delighted those who gathered around her table.
Heather is survived by her son, Zachary Bolding; her father, George Hollingsworth; and her sister, Delishia Dunning. She leaves behind a host of family and friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on their lives.
Visitation will be held on February 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roseville Missionary Baptist Church located at 2870 Wilmington Hwy, Willard, NC 28478. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 12:00 PM. Heather will then be interred at Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC.
Heather Bolding’s legacy of love, commitment, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
