Obituary for Harry Lee Murphy

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry Lee Murphy, who departed this life on March 30, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Born on September 13, 1941, Harry lived a full and meaningful life, dedicated to his family, his craft, and his community.

Harry was a proud and hardworking carpenter, whose craftsmanship was admired by many. He was a devoted member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues throughout his career. His skill and dedication to his trade left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to work alongside him.

Harry's legacy lives on through his loving daughter, Tiffany Hamlin, and his beloved grandchildren, Andre Thompson and Latanya Griffin. He will also be remembered fondly by a host of family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on April 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, at Dunn Funeral Home, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Interment will take place immediately after the service at McMillian and Moore Cemetery in Burgaw, NC.
