Mrs. Gwendolyn Fennell McKoy , age 82, of Wilmington peacefully laid down the burdens of this life and joined the Heavenly Host on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 while in the comfort of her residence. She is the wife of Mr. Robert W. McKoy, Sr. and the mother of L'Toynya McKoy-Messick (LaVerne), Rev. Robert McKoy, Jr. (Rev. ShaRon), Rev. MisChella McQueen (Cozell) and Rodney McKoy, Sr. (Companion, Monique McKithen)

A Homegoing Celebration will convene at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at St. Stephens AME Church - 501 Red Cross Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Entombment will immediately follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park located in Wilmington, NC.

Public Viewing for relatives and friends will take place 11:00a.m. - 11:50a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at St. Stephens AME Church - 501 Red Cross Street, Wilmington, NC 28401 prior to the 12:00 Noon Homegoing Celebration.
