Mrs. Gloria McIntyre Hansley, a beloved soul and cherished matriarch, was born on June 4, 1949, in Pender County, North Carolina. After dedicating her life to her family and community, she peacefully departed this world on December 28, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Gloria fought the good fight, displaying remarkable strength and resilience throughout her life, and her spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gloria was a shining beacon of kindness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generous heart and warm smile endeared her to many, making her not just a mother and grandmother, but a true friend to everyone she encountered. Her ability to connect with others was unmatched, and it is this gift that will be so profoundly missed.

Gloria found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life. Among her passions was fishing, a hobby that brought her peace and allowed her to bond with loved ones by the water’s edge. Whether she was casting a line or simply enjoying a quiet moment by the lake, Gloria's love of nature reflected her gentle spirit.

As she embarks on her next journey, Gloria leaves behind her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Each of them has been touched by her generous spirit and will remember the warmth and laughter she brought into their lives.

Friends and family are invited to honor Gloria's memory and celebrate her incredible life. Visitation will take place on January 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Burgaw, North Carolina. The following day, January 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM, a Celebration of Life will be held at Moores Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Currie, North Carolina, allowing all those whose lives she touched to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman.

Gloria McIntyre Hansley’s legacy will live on in the love she shared and the memories created. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
