Glenda Faye Lee, a beacon of love, faith, and compassion, departed this world on January 24, 2026, at the Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, leaving behind a legacy that will forever illuminate the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Born on June 6, 1949, in Duplin County, Glenda gracefully navigated through life, embodying the essence of a virtuous woman.
As a devoted wife to Mr. Joseph Lee, Glenda embraced her family with never ending commitment. She was a nurturing mother to her children, Tony Lee and Andrea Lee Benton, a beloved grandmother to Taikeya Lee, Bre'Ana Benton, and Derrick Benton Jr., and a proud great-grandmother to D'Moni Lee, D'Layah Fowler, D'Mayah Fowler, and Carter Lee. Glenda was cherished by her siblings—Rachel Teachey, Gregory Pickett, and Clara Pickett—who will forever hold onto the joyous moments shared in her presence. Alongside, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends now carry the imprint of her compassionate spirit.
Glenda was not simply an individual; she was a vibrant force within her community, always greeting others with a warm smile and an open heart. Her faith and dedication to her church reflected a deeper understanding of life’s simplicity and the importance of kindness. She took great pleasure in traveling and shopping, invariably going the extra mile to spread joy and care. Time spent in Glenda's company was a reminder of the art of living fully, of embracing each moment with grace and gratitude.
