It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. George D. Faulk, Jr., age 72, of Castle Hayne, North Carolina, who departed this life on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC, surrounded by his loving family.

George was more than a beloved family man — he was a faithful leader, a passionate basketball coach, a joyful worshipper, and a true encourager. Known for his infectious sense of humor and his love of dancing, George brought light and laughter wherever he went. A devoted follower of Christ, he served with humility and worshipped with a full heart. His love for his family was unwavering, and he lived every day with purpose and joy.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Veronica Whitted Faulk; his cherished daughters, Monica Genelle Faulk and Gi Gi Faulk; and a myriad of loving family members and friends whose lives he deeply touched.

ALL Viewing for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2024  during the hours of 4:00pm -6:00pm at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

Celebration of Life service will convene at 11:00am Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. James A.M.E. Church 3425 Castle Hayne Road Castle Hayne, NC.

A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, George never missed a game and proudly wore the star. His coaching, mentorship, and larger-than-life spirit left a lasting legacy in the lives of many.

We extend our deepest condolences to George's family, friends, former players, and all who were blessed to know him. He will be remembered with great love and profound respect.

In honor of George's love for growth and life, the family kindly requests potted plants or garden dishes in lieu of standing sprays.
