Mr. Gene Ardell Thompson, Jr. , age 53 of Maple Hill crossed from this walk of life and was added to Heaven's Army on Monday, January 30, 2023 while at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is the husband of Mrs. Cemelia Thompson.

A Homegoing Celebration will convene at 2:30p.m. on Sunday February 5, 2023 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church - 801 Webbtown Road, Maple Hill, NC 28454. Interment will immediately follow in the Maple Hill Community Cemetery located in Maple Hill, North Carolina.

Public Viewing and Visitation for relatives and friends will take place 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
